The AI war is not inevitable — but the conditions that enable it are real: concentrated talent, asymmetrical access to data and compute, and lagging governance. Humanity still has options. Through international cooperation, technical safeguards and civic resilience, it is possible to regain control and ensure AI amplifies human flourishing instead of undermining it.
